Competition Terms.
Rules for entering and competing in the TBM October Open — a free, one-week simulated trading competition.
Last updated on 1 October 2026
These Competition Terms govern entry to and participation in the "TBM October Open" (the "Competition"), a free, rolling simulated trading competition open for entry throughout October. They supplement, and do not replace, our main Terms & Conditions (tbmfunded.com/terms), which continue to apply to your use of the TBM Funded platform generally. Where these Competition Terms and the main Terms & Conditions conflict on a matter specific to the Competition, these Competition Terms govern.
The Competition is entered into between you and Tbmfunded Ltd., an International Business Company incorporated in Saint Lucia (registration number 2026-00683, registered office Ground Floor, Rodney Court Building, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet, Saint Lucia). The Competition is operated on Tbmfunded Ltd.'s behalf by TBM Capital L.L.C-FZ (Formation/Registration No. 2650044, Licence No. 2650044.01).
1. Eligibility
- You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
- One entry per person. Entering, or attempting to enter, more than once — including under a different email, name, or account — disqualifies all of that person's entries.
- Your account email must be verified before your entry is accepted.
- TBM Funded staff, and creators/affiliates with an active partnership agreement with TBM Funded, are not eligible to enter.
- You must not be a resident of, or located in, a jurisdiction where participation would be unlawful, including the restricted jurisdictions listed in our main Terms & Conditions.
2. Join Window and Your Personal Trading Window
- Join window: any day from 1 October 2026, 00:00 IST, to 22 October 2026, 23:59 IST — or until 250 entries are reached, whichever comes first. Entries are accepted first come, first served.
- Your personal trading window: starts the moment your Competition account is provisioned and your login is sent, and ends at market close after 7 broker trading days (weekends excluded, on the same broker trading-day calendar our risk engine uses). Trading activity outside your personal trading window does not count toward your ranking.
- At the end of your personal trading window: TBM closes any open positions on your Competition account, your equity is frozen, and your result is calculated from that frozen value. If your window ends outside our normal processing hours, your result is still calculated using your account's equity at the exact window-end instant, not a later value.
- If you registered before 1 October 2026: your personal trading window starts at account provisioning like every other entrant's — no action is needed on your part.
- Final ranking and results: computed once, on 31 October 2026, 22:00 UTC, across every entrant whose personal trading window has ended by then. Winners are announced 2 November 2026.
3. The Competition Account
Each accepted entrant receives one simulated $100,000 evaluation account for the sole purpose of the Competition, provisioned on our trading platform. Competition accounts are simulated. No money is paid on competition results. Prizes are TBM evaluation accounts; payouts from those follow standard TBM rules. Your Competition account carries no evaluation fee and no funding to any real account — it exists only to generate a ranked result for this Competition.
4. Rules and Gate
- Maximum daily loss: 5% of the account's initial balance.
- Maximum drawdown: 10%, static, measured from the account's $100,000 opening balance.
- Minimum activity: at least 10 closed trades within your personal trading window (see Section 2).
- Consistency: no single trading day may account for more than 40% of your total profit for the Competition. Profit realised in breach of this rule may be excluded when your final result is calculated.
Breaching the daily loss or maximum drawdown limit ends your participation for the remainder of your personal trading window; your result is recorded at the point of breach. This is the same breach-timing principle as our main Terms & Conditions §8/§9: a breach occurs the moment your account crosses a limit, as recorded by the trading platform's timestamp, not the moment we identify it.
5. Ranking and Tie-Break
Entrants who meet the gate in Section 4 are ranked by percentage return on their Competition account, calculated from the frozen equity at the end of their personal trading window (see Section 2). Only entrants finishing with a positive percentage return are eligible to win a prize; an entrant who finishes at zero or negative return does not place, regardless of rank. Among eligible entrants, if two or more are tied on percentage return, the entrant with the lower maximum drawdown during the Competition is ranked higher. Final ranking is computed once, per Section 2, across every entrant whose personal trading window has ended by then, and is not visible in real time on the public leaderboard, which shows live score and days remaining for active entrants for informational purposes only.
6. Prizes
Prizes are simulated TBM Funded evaluation accounts, awarded by final rank:
| Rank | Prize |
|---|---|
| 1st | 2-Step Challenge, $100,000 account |
| 2nd – 3rd | 2-Step Challenge, $50,000 account |
| 4th – 10th | 2-Step Challenge, $25,000 account |
| 11th – 25th | 2-Step Challenge, $10,000 account |
| 26th – 50th | 1-Step Challenge, $5,000 account |
There is no cash prize and no cash alternative to any prize, in whole or in part. Prize accounts are evaluation accounts, not funded accounts — you still need to pass the relevant challenge to reach a funded account. Prize accounts are governed by our main Terms & Conditions in full, including identity verification (KYC), which is required before a Funded Account is issued, exactly as it is for a purchased challenge. Prize accounts have no purchase fee.
7. Disqualification
In addition to the prohibited trading practices in our main Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Use / Trading Rules Policy, the following disqualify an entrant from the Competition and forfeit any result or prize:
- Use of third-party, commercial, or arbitrage Expert Advisors (EAs) or trading bots.
- Copy trading, or replicating positions from another account or service.
- Latency arbitrage, hedge arbitrage, or other exploitation of pricing/execution delays.
- Multi-accounting — entering, or having any beneficial interest in, more than one entry.
- Any other latency-abuse or platform-exploitation technique described in our Acceptable Use / Trading Rules Policy.
8. TBM's Discretion
TBM Funded determines, based on the evidence available to it, whether an entrant has breached these Competition Terms, and its decision on eligibility, disqualification, ranking, and prize award is final. We reserve the right to cancel, suspend, postpone, or amend the Competition, these Competition Terms, or the prize ladder at any time, including for technical, regulatory, or operational reasons, and will communicate any material change to registered entrants.
9. Governing Law
These Competition Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Saint Lucia, on the same basis as our main Terms & Conditions §24 (Applicable Law), including its arbitration and mandatory-consumer-protection provisions.
